On May 4th, Councilmembers Sidney Katz and Craig Rice presented a proclamation to students enrolled in UMES’s Hospitality & Tourism Management/Campus Kitchens program at USG. The UMES/USG Campus Kitchen Project (CKP) helps feed Montgomery County residents.
The proclamation was a result of the students raising over $5000 in the National Raise the Dough Campaign. CKP teams around the nation competed against each other and the small UMES/USG team won 
the award for “Most Donors” and finished fourth overall for funds raised.
